OUGD501 - Context of Practice 2 brand colours

For the colours for the branding and for perfume packaging and bottle, it need to appeal to both male and female, the colours that would work would be blues, black, greys, white and greens, I think that the best colours would be the black, white and blues as they will work together and will appeal to both sex. 

from talking to my peers and discussing what colours do they think i should used the main colours that come up are white black and grey theses are very neutral colours that work for both male and female. so from these talks to my peers i have identified my colours for the branding 

OUGD501 - Context of Practice 2 brand Name

From doing a little brain storm for the name of the branding one that stands out for me is Alexander James, this is simialr to brands like Tom Ford, ralph Lauren and Calvin klein. they use a name and this could help me in showing that this is a luxury brand like the big fashion and perfume brands. The branding would be Alexander James and perfume name could be Equality or Untitled to represent the unsex part of the perfume.

Bottle shapes

square, rectangle, cylinder 

The bottle shape has to appeal to both male and female. however i think the bottle can be any shape if the colour and name works for both sex.   

Colours  

Blue, white, black, sliver, gold, green, grey  

From looking at the bottle the colours can be a mix of dark colours and light colours, from looking at the bottle the colours that appeal to me straight away are blues and blacks and maybe gold. 

Names 

simple, strong, open, luxury, unique  

The name is going to be every hard as it needs to be simple and also sound good, The name seem mostly to be names of people. 

OUGD501 - Context of Practice 2 The idea

For my cop practice i think im going to create a unisex perfume brand that will be luxury and desirable for male and females. The Target audience will be people 18 and over i want the brand to be luxury but also simple using simple plain colours like whites and blacks and a bottle shape that will work for both male and female. This will link with my essay and hopefully from what i learn from the research and essay and can create a luxury unisex perfume brand.
