OUDG401- Artwork- research in logos

For the logo for the lodge i had the idea for the name to be in a shape with script font, i really like it when script font is used in a shape for a logo. gives it a hand rendered look and i gives it a old but new modern look. Also by having it in a shape means it can standout more i can be placed on different colour surfaces just by changing the colour of the shape and type. 

  i looked on the internet however i have the perfected book for logos and branding it called los logo and it has hundreds of logos that will help me in this project. 

For the logo i also want to use a colour that can used on everything the menu, posters, flyers, website and int he bar and can represent the lodge and make people associate the colour with the lodge when they see it on posters around town. a lot of companies do this like orange, coke, facebook, apple and many more it a really good strategy to use in branding all over the world.

The lodge in ware is a cocktail and has lodgings, its very new and needs everything for the branding of the business it needs a logo,website, menu, posters, flyers and lots more, the bar is very high end and they show this though the drink selection, the look of the bar, ingredients, spirits and the glasses. the bar is modern but also rustic, with a lot of wood which links back to the name THE LODGE. The cocktail bar is aimed people 21 to 50 male and female, the cocktail bar is very unique to the town as its one of the first cocktail bar ware this is a very good selling point and another very good selling point to bring in more people is 2-4-1 cocktails between 5-7pm. this would be great on posters and flyers to attracted more customers thought the day not just at night.

Out of these small brands and business the one i may do the branding for is the Lodge in ware is a new cocktail bar where i live back home, i am good friends with the manager and i know they need menus, posters, flyers, artwork, logo, website and much more, i feel i could create a really good branding for this business. and they need a lot so i could use the skills i have leaned from the essay and also previous project to create the branding for the lodge.
