Looking at my essay I needed a brand that is successful in
all the elements I’m looking into brand identity, image, equity and phycology.
What better brand than Supreme, a brand that is successful in these areas on an
extreme level. Customers queuing for hours when they release clothing on a
Thursday, the costumers are obsessed with the brand. Lucky for me the most
desirable item the box logo was coming out in December. This was perfect
opportunity to do the practical. The idea was to create a publication that
showcased images from the release and interviews with questions relating to my
essay question ‘Do we wear the or does the brand wear us?’ From the interviews
I got some really good content that links perfectly with the essay which aloud
me to include some of these in my essay. Everyone at Supreme was really open
and wanted their photograph taken and to be interview with me, them being so
open gave me some really detailed and personal answers, which is what I wanted.
The images I took at Supreme shows the reader how crazy the day was and how
determined these ‘brand fans’ are just to get an item of clothing. I feel my
essay and practical link perfectly together and clearly link. The practical
almost proves my conclusion of my essay that the brand wears us and we are controlled
by the brand.
