OUGD501 - Context of Practice 2 practical ideas

From the essay I have 2 ideas for the practical.

The first idea is to great a kickstarter into a luxury brand and use packard's techniques in the creation. The kickstarter will be a clothing brand as this will be the best on to do it for however i could do a technology brand. I would create a logo, adverts and other elements. This would link to my essay as it would be about a luxury brand and also it will be using Packard's eight hidden needs.

The second idea is to use the idea of desire, and create a brand and publication that would only have limited amount printed. it would be a limit stock company similar to supreme and Street dream magazine. I have talk about supreme and limited stock companies and how they create desire so this would be perfect to go with the essay.

Both ideas would work well with the essay and link well with it. I am going to present the ideas in the crit and ask my peers which one they think i should take forward.

from the feedback i got from my peers and simon, is to use a kickstarter to create a luxury brand or create my own made up brand and product.

things I need to consider

  • product
  • target audience
  • branding
  • physical work
  • adverts
